So, You Need a Mini Excavator
Posted by: Erika Green on May 16, 2019
It’s the best time of year for your business – spring busy season. With all of the new jobs coming your way, it’s the perfect time to rent a mini excavator. One of our top rentals this time of year, mini excavators are known as a do-it-all piece of large equipment. With dynamic functional abilities and a superior level of machine responsiveness, mini excavators are a busy pro’s best friend.
It’s safe, sturdy and stable
With a low center of gravity and a comfortable cab, mini excavators are designed to create the stability necessary to work on jobs with rough or uneven terrain. Instead of risking your crew or other less-capable equipment, a mini excavator will expedite the job safely.
Versatility is its middle name
Mini excavators aren’t just for landscaping jobs. Equipped to handle a wide range of tasks, this piece of large equipment is multifunctional. Whether you’re looking to create a new irrigation system, build a retaining wall alongside a driveway or even construct a parking pad, this equipment can handle it all.
Tow it or have it delivered – it’s up to you
Due to its compact size, a mini excavator is easy to transport from store to jobsite. Check with our experts at a Tool Rental Center to see if your SUV or truck has the appropriate towing mechanisms and weight allocations. If not? No problem. We also offer onsite delivery services.
What you need to know
With mini excavators available for rent across a variety of sizes and scale, you can take advantage of top-tier equipment. We offer several classes of mini excavators to ensure we have what you need, regardless of the job.
- 1-Ton Mini Excavator – The most compact option we rent, the 1-tons have a max width of less than three feet, making them ideal for small jobsites with narrow entrances.
- 1.5 – 2 Ton Mini Excavator – The 1.5 to 2-ton mini excavators are a go-to for heavy-duty landscaping and demo jobs. With a max reach of up to 14 feet in select models, you can work on a large area without having to adjust the position of the equipment.
- 2.5 – 3 Ton Mini Excavator – Use this larger mini excavator to take on a large variety of tough jobs, including foundation and demo work. This class of mini excavators comes standard with a 24-inch bucket, making them an asset to any jobsite.
- 3.5 – 4 Ton Mini Excavator – The largest mini excavator we rent, the 3.5 to 4-ton provides significant support to just about any job. Able to reach a max dig depth of between 9 and 11 feet, you wouldn’t consider these excavators all that “mini.” Onsite delivery only.
