On October 23, JCB celebrated its 70th anniversary! The occasion was marked by the introduction of a limited edition 3CX Super Backhoe.
In 1945, the company’s founder, Joseph Cyril Bamford, made a tipping trailer from wartime scrap in his garage. Since that time JCB has grown to offer more than 300 products, from 22 plants across the world with manufacturing facilities in the UK, India, Brazil and North America.
Today, JCB employs 12,000, with a global dealer network of more than 750 dealers. The company’s long-term success has come from staying true to the principles it was founded on – dedication to innovation, hard work and a desire to be the best.
70 limited edition 3CX Super backhoes will be manufactured and available for sale to mark the 70-year milestone. These models feature the vintage look of a 3III 1979 model featuring a red bucket, full white cab and red wheels instead of today’s customary black and yellow finish. The limited edition models will also feature an in-cab coffee maker and 109 horsepower Tier 4 Final, No DPF EcoMAX engine.
Compact Power Equipment Rental wishes JCB a happy anniversary and is proud to offer JCB equipment, including mini-excavators, for all your project needs.
