For the Love of Doing-It-Yourself – Projects to do in February
Posted by: Erika Green on February 25, 2019
You don’t have to wait until spring to take on a DIY project. As we (slowly) inch closer to warmer weather, here are simple projects you can do to ease back into the groove.
Clean Your Tools
Although it’s not quite time for “spring cleaning,” February’s indecisive weather provides an opportune time to stay inside and prepare tools and equipment for the new season. From cleaning a manual tamper to rebuilding the lawn mower carburetor, use this downtime to clean, grease or repair the instruments you’ve been patiently waiting to use again.

Are unsightly stumps or unruly trees creating an eyesore in your yard? Don’t wait to be rid of them. Potential for pests and diseases makes February the perfect time to solve the problem before it becomes a crisis. Rent an Altec Chipper Shredder and start your spring with a clean yard and boosted curb appeal.
Build a Raised Garden Bed
Gardening is a favored pastime – it’s a means for relaxation and fulfillment. While it may still be too frosty to plant any flowers or other vegetation, you can begin constructing a raised garden bed. Find everything you need, down to the soil, at your local Home Depot.
