Posted by: Samuel Hirshfield on July 1, 2015

We’re proud to offer the JCB 8029 mini excavator as part of our fleet. This machine is JCB’s first conventional tailswing mini excavator in the 2.5-3.5 ton class and one of the largest excavators towable behind a 3.5-ton vehicle.
While similar to JCB’s 8025 model, the 8029 has several key differences. This mini excavator is powered by a 25-horsepower (18kW) Perkins engine, providing 8% more efficiency than the 8025. With a tailswing of 1 foot 5 inches more, the 8029 offers 19% greater lift capacity than the market leader.
Additionally, a brand new undercarriage, using three bottom rollers, one top roller, heavy duty track idler guides and grease tensioners, provides an 11% faster tracking speed.
The 8029 also boasts a box-fabricated boom and dipper, new EV31 hydraulic block and excellent bucket rotation.
Important specs:
- Max dig depth: 10 feet
- Max reach above ground: 15 feet 7 inches
- Overall width: 5 feet 1 inch
- Towing: 10,315 pounds combined weight (machine & trailer)
All of these features add up to greater productivity for you. Consider the JCB 8029 mini excavator for one of these projects today:
- Turn your backyard into an oasis by adding a fish pond or even adding a hot tub
- Redesign your landscaping by transplanting trees
- Spend more time outdoors by building a new stone patio
