Gehl is an industry leader in producing high-quality compact equipment for construction and agriculture, and their line of Gehl skid steer loaders is no exception. Engineered with professional contractors and their needs in mind, these units pack power and versatility into a compact frame. Whatever — or wherever — the job, The Home Depot Rental is proud to offer a young and dependable fleet of Gehl skid loaders to help you get from doing, to done.
The R105/RT105 Gehl Skid Steer Loaders
The Gehl R105/RT105 compact wheel and track loaders are the perfect solution for jobsites requiring a skid steer with a projected load capacity of no more than 1,200 lbs. You’ll want to compare which type of loader is right for your job, whether it’s a track loader or skid steer. Besides being on durable rubber tracks, the RT105 track loader rental is slightly taller and heavier than its wheeled counterpart.
However, the R105’s overall height of just over 70 inches allows this skid loader to easily fit into residential and commercial garages to haul lumber, stone or even rock salt for icy surfaces. Likewise, the narrow width is helpful for entering gated properties like backyards and sports fields – making this model a top choice for transporting materials in confined spaces.
So, it’s a toss up as to which rental is right for you. Both are compact and transport easily, primarily differing only in tread options. The Gehl R105 skid loader and RT105 track loader can both lift up to 1,050 lbs. and have a max lift height of 108.1 and 109 inches, respectively – making either one a great investment for pros. However, it’s important to note that wheeled units are more budget friendly than their tracked counterparts. And because these models are so versatile, most find a weekly or monthly equipment rental is the best option to fit the job schedule.
The RT135/R150 Skid Steer Loaders
If you need a compact Gehl skid steer for bigger jobs, the RT135 track loader and R150 skid loader are your go-to rental options. The biggest difference between these two models, besides tread, is their lift capacity and height.
The RT135 is a tracked model with an operating capacity of 1,350 lbs. and a 110-inch max lift height. Alternatively, the wheeled R150 can lift up to 1,500 lbs. and features a 119-inch max lift height. Although, both of these compact models are ideal for maneuvering, hauling, leveling and grading.
The R150/RT135 tracked and skid steer loaders also offer widespread visibility from the cab for safety purposes. When your team is using the machine to load materials and debris on a busy construction site, the enhanced view to both the front and rear help keep your team safe. According to Gehl, the “new, state-of-the-art, fully-adjustable operator's cab” includes comfort features to reduce operator fatigue as well. Although the R105/RT105 and the RT135/R150 Gehl skid steers are some of our most popular rentals, we also carry other skid loaders to cater to jobsites of all sizes, including the Gehl 3640E, R135 and RT215.
